Sasha is a local artist, born and raised in Westside, IA. In 2018, She received her MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD.

As an interdisciplinary, conceptual artist her work spans mixed media painting, sculpture, drawing, and land art.

The featured series began as an exploration in texturized
and sculpture-esque painting. It soon became an unrealized
illustration of love for her infant son and the idea that
those lost to us remain closer than we think.

Sasha works full time as a graphic designer, serves as an
associate professor of art at DMACC each spring, and continues
creating her artwork in her home studio located in Carroll, IA.
